Ms. Slappy. For years, Janice Slappy served on multiple boards that promoted community development and action. As President of Educational Arts Society (EAS), she initiated grant-writing, shared accounting procedures and financial information the organization deemed essential. Her leadership focused on implementation of non-profit duties and organizational performance. Because fund-raising is a key ingredient in non-profit survival, President Slappy reached out to surrounding communities to assist EAS in reaching its goals and objectives.
